In a presentation delivered on Thursday, August 5th, Derick de Wit, SVP of M.Plan, and Sebastian Vollath, Project Engineer at ANZAPLAN, discussed the specific nuances of conducting valuations of specialty mineral properties.

Specialty commodities, such as lithium, are required in future shaping, high potential and high growth markets for high value and high technology applications, especially as their unique characteristics limit substitution. The resulting high interest in this type of minerals and metals makes specialty projects lucrative investment opportunities. In order to facilitate the valuation of mineral assets, M.Plan applies the concept of the comparable transaction curve to specialty commodity projects, thus providing a straightforward method to value and economically compare assets of interest. This approach is based on comparable transactions and market capitalization valuation utilizing real market data to derive realistic value ranges.
