Our Focus is Specialties – M.Plan provides an integrated suite of consulting services to the specialty minerals and metals sector. Our integrated approach provides a comprehensive understanding of project dynamics, allowing for the optimization of exploration, resource development, mineral beneficiation, chemical processing, process development and economics, allowing critical time savings and encouraging innovation. Our ability to apply detailed knowledge of product specifications and markets is a central aspect of M.Plan’s consulting services.
Our Team
The M.Plan team comprises the combined consulting staffs of Micon and Anzaplan, located in Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and Russia. This group of approximately 50 experienced people covers the full spectrum of project development from exploration to market intelligence and economic analysis.
Management
Derick de Wit, Senior Vice President
Derick de Wit, MBA, PMP, Pr Tech Eng (Chem Eng), AusIMM(CP), SAIMM, is a Principal Process Engineer and Senior Project Manager of Micon. He has over 20 years’ experience in the development of projects throughout Africa and Canada from geological exploration, through the different feasibility phases, receipt of legislative permits and licences and implementation. He has also acted as a competent valuator to determine the economic value of a wide range of mineral properties and is fully versed in securities exchange compliance across numerous jurisdictions.

Dr. Reiner Haus
PD Dr. Reiner Haus, EMBA, Managing Director of Anzaplan, brings to M.Plan more than 25 years of experience in the field of specialty minerals, rare metals and industrial minerals. He leads a dedicated team of professional scientists and engineers at Anzaplan’s renowned analytical and testing facilities based in Germany.
Christopher Jacobs
Christopher Jacobs, CEng, MIMMM, MBA, Mining Economist and President of Micon, has over 40 years of experience in the management of mineral exploration, project development and mining operations, including positions as exploration and mining geologist for Anglo American, executive director of Cluff Resources Zimbabwe and AmZim Gold Mines and as Manager – Strategic Planning, Anglo Platinum, South Africa.
Dr. Christian Graf
Christian Graf, PhD, Business Unit Director of dorfner ANZAPLAN, has over 10 years of process engineering, material development and business management experience in the field of high value inorganic materials with a background in batteries and vanadium processing. He is an expert in mineral phase equilibria and thermodynamic modelling. Dr. Graf has direct knowledge of product and portfolio management and technical marketing, and experience in finance and economics.
